Garlic fried dumplings (Gyoza)
Ingredients (for 2 servings)

Chives
1/2 bunch (40 g)

[A] Soy sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons

[A] Kadoya roasted sesame oil
1 teaspoon

Gyoza dumpling wrappers

Directions

Cut chives and garlic into chunks.

Put minced pork, salt, and black pepper in a bowl and knead until meat is smooth.

Add the chives and garlic from (1) and [A] to (2) and mix well.

Leave a space of 1cm from the edge of the dumpling wrapper and place 1/12 of (3) flat on the wrapper with a knife.

Brush the edge of the wrapper with water and fold the wrapper in half. Press down the edge of the wrapper with the tip of a fork to close tightly. Make 12 pieces.

Pour sesame oil in a frying pan over low heat and immediately put in the dumplings. Fry over low heat for 3 to 4 minutes, then turn the dumplings upside down and fry for another 2 to 3 minutes.

When all the dumplings are browned and the surface is crispy, drain off the oil.

Serve with a squeeze of lemon, if desired.
