Korean sesame egg & rice (Gyeran Bap)

Ingredients (for 1 servings)
  • Egg

    1 (60g)

  • Oil

    1/2 tablespoon

  • Cooked white rice, warmed

    1 bowl

  • Butter

    1/2 tablespoon

  • Gochujang

    1/2 teaspoon

  • Kadoya roasted sesame oil

    1 teaspoon

  • Soy sauce

    1 teaspoon

  • Chopped spring onion to garnish

  • Toasted sesame seeds to garnish

Directions
  • Heat oil in frying pan over medium heat.

  • Add egg and cook until side is crispy but yolk runny.

  • While egg is cooking, add butter and gochujang on top of warm rice.

  • Place cooked egg over the butter.

  • Drizzle soy sauce and sesame oil over egg and rice.

  • Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and spring onion.

  • Break up egg and mix rice, butter, and gochujang together. Enjoy.
