Directions

Put the egg whites in a bowl, add the white sugar and whisk to mix.

Sift in flour and mix.

Add the ground gold sesame seeds and mix.

Add sesame oil and mix.

Cover the bowl of (4) with plastic wrap and let the dough rest for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 170℃.

Pour the dough from (5) into a baking pan and bake in the oven at 170℃ for 25 minutes. Remove and let cool in the mold.

When cool, cut into 8 equal pieces and top with whipped cream and persimmons cut into desired shape. Garnish with Italian parsley if desired, drizzle with sesame oil, and sprinkle with golden sesame seeds.
