Spicy King oyster mushrooms
Ingredients (for 4 servings)

King oyster mushrooms, shredded

Scallions, cut to 3 inches length, white and green parts separated

Szechuan peppercorn

Toasted sesame seeds to garnish

【Sauce】

Garlic cloves, minced

Ginger, grated
1 teaspoon

Sugar
2 teaspoons

Soy sauce
2 tablespoons

Vegetarian oyster sauce
1 teaspoon

Kadoya hot sesame oil
1 teaspoon

5 spice powder
1/4 teaspoon
Directions

Blanch shredded mushrooms for 90 seconds. Drain and set aside.

In a saucepan, add oil on low heat. Add Szechuan peppercorn and white part of scallion to infuse oil. Watch to make sure it doesn’t burn. About 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a heat proof bowl, add all the ingredients for the sauce and place the green parts of the scallion on top.

When peppercorn infused oil is ready, remove the white scallion and half of the peppercorn.

Drizzle hot oil over the green parts of the scallion in the bowl.

Pour prepared sauce over the blanched mushrooms.

Garnish with toasted sesame seeds.

Serve warm or chilled.
