Garlic-flavored soup with cod and clam

Clams (e.g. common orient clams and short-necked clams)

Slices of cod fillet

Directions

Heat oil in a pan, add the minced onion and garlic and saute until translucent. Add bay leaf, soaked and scrubbed clams and white wine, close the lid immediately and then steam over a high heat.

Turn off the heat as soon as the shells open. Take out the clams and keep them warm. Add 2 cups of water to the pan and boil it for a few minutes before straining.

Simmer the soup from (2) and canned whole tomato in another pan, add cod fillet and cook over a low heat. Take out the cod fillet and keep it warm. Add salt and pepper to the soup to taste.

Cut peeled and boiled potatoes into properly-Sized pieces, add them to the soup from (3) and cook until soft.

Place the cod, the clams, the potatoes and boiled string beans in serving dishes, cover in the soup and sprinkle minced parsley on top.

Add a dash of Hot Sesame Oil last.
